About the Tour
Alps are world-famous and need no introduction. Long ago an insurmountable barrier, nowadays this mighty range is crossed by modern railway and road tunnels that connect Italy to the Central European countries and keep most of the traffic out of the mountain roads. Good for us!
The beautiful valleys surrounded by the highest mountains and dotted with enchanting villages are a joy for the eyes and provide impeccable charming hotels, great food and, on the Italian side, excellent wines.
We will ride a long series of extremely amazing Italian and Swiss passes, including the Stelvio with its 2758 m (9049 ft). This is a riding experience that you will never forget.
Schedule
- Day 0: Welcome to Milan! Meet new friends including the bike you will rely on for 7 days
- Day 1: We leave Milano coasting the Lake Iseo before arriving in the Alps at Madonna di Campiglio
- Day 2: A day in the Dolomites – UNESCO World Heritage – climbing four among the most famous Italian passes and arriving at our hotel at Pera di Fassa
- Day 3: Twisty roads continue to Grosotto through the Stelvio, the highest pass of Italy (2760 m / 9055 ft,) close to the Swiss border
- Day 4: We cross the border and we tackle 4 major Swiss passes before arriving at Davos, Switzerland. an unusual ski resort town that hosts one of the most famous international economics meetings
- Day 5: More Swiss passes – among them the famous St. Gotthard Pass – lead us to Andermatt, the “Heart of the Alps”, winter & summer Destination
- Day 6: A free-day to ride more breathtaking passes or simply enjoy the village and scenic views from Andermatt
- Day 7: Leaving Andermatt we ride along the “Tremola”, the scenic cobblestone-made ancient road of the St. Gotthard Pass to the shore of Lake Como, where we visit the Moto Guzzi Museum before returning to Milan
- Day 8: Depart Milan for home or another adventure
- Morning departures are typically 9:00 or as advised
- Afternoon arrivals normally leave time to relax before dinner
